A demonstration of basic physical
proficiency and understanding of the following Ho-Sin-Sul (Self Defense) techniques on both your left and right side;
At least two defenses against an attack from the rear with a Full-Nelson

least two defenses against an attack from the rear with a Bear-Hug (over the arms)
At
least two defenses against an attack from the front with a Bear-Hug (over the arms)
At least two throws against a Back Piercing Kick attack
Shoulder roll to the right and left sides over a knee-high barrier - coming up in both
a kneeling position and with a break fall
as well as a demonstration that the knowledge and physical
proficiency of all Ho-Shin-Sul techniques learned at previous belt ranks has been maintained.
A demonstration of basic physical proficiency
and understanding of both power and technique breaks on 1" pine boards. These will include several specific hand and foot technique breaking requirements for 3rd Geup High Blue Belt, as well as some from previous rank level breaking requirements. Breaks
will be selected by the testing candidate and/or specified by the test board.
Passing the 3rd Geup Written Test within two weeks of testing. This test will cover the required
knowledge learned at all previous belt ranks as well as the following 3rd Geup knowledge requirements;
The pattern history, pattern diagram, and number of movements for the pattern Jung-Geun
The ten parts of the student's responsibility to the Student-Instructor
Relationship in Taekwon-Do
The characteristics of a Rear-Foot Stance (Dwit-bal Seo-gi)
The characteristics of a Low Stance (Nat-chweo Seo-gi)
The characteristics of a Close Ready Stance type B (Mo-a Jun-bi Seo-gi B)
Training expectations
for the Chang Hon Kwan Taekwon-Do class are as follows:
Active workouts in approximately 7-8 classes/month for at least 3
months at a 4th Geup Blue Belt level;
Active workouts in approximately 7 classes in the three weeks just prior to the next testing; and
Students work out on their own outside of class on an average of four-and-a-half hours/week during this time.
Tournament competition in both
Patterns and Sparring in at least one tournament during this testing cycle is required.
Participate in two hours of community
service type activities during this testing cycle.
