as well as a demonstration that the knowledge and physical
proficiency of all Ho-Sin-Sul techniques learned at previous belt ranks has been maintained.
A demonstration of basic physical proficiency
and understanding of both power and technique breaks on 1" pine boards. These will include several specific hand and foot technique breaking requirements for 6th Geup Low Green Belt, as well as some from previous rank level breaking requirements. Breaks will be
selected by the testing candidate and/or specified by the test board.
Passing the 6th Geup Written Test within two weeks of testing. This test will cover the required
knowledge learned at all previous belt ranks as well as the following 6th Geup knowledge requirements;
The meaning of the color of Green Belt
The pattern history, pattern diagram, and number of movements for the pattern
Do-San
The nine reasons for practicing Courtesy
The opening and closing ceremony for a Taekwon-Do class
The characteristics of a Walking Ready Stance (Geon-neun Jun-bi Seo-gi)
The characteristics of an L-Ready Stance (Ni-eun-ja Jun-bi Seo-gi)
Training expectations for the Chang Hon Kwan Taekwon-Do class are as follows:
Active workouts in approximately 7-8 classes/month
for at least 12 weeks at a 7th Geup High Yellow Belt level;
Active workouts in approximately
7 classes in the three weeks just prior to the next testing; and
Students work out on their
own outside of class on an average of three-and-a-half hours/week during this time.
Although Tournament sparring competition is optional during this testing cycle, it is recommended that
you compete in both Patterns and Sparring in one tournament at this level.

The actual requirements
AT testing for 6th Geup Low Green Belt will consist of a physical test and an oral examination.
The physical test will consist of a demonstration of the pattern Do-San, as well as random elements of Taekwon-Do selected
by the test board. These random elements will
be selected to include requirements learned at this level (listed above), as well as some elements from previous belt rank testings.
The oral examination will consist of random questions covering required knowledge learned at this and
all previous belt ranks.
